What we collect

  • If you download without an account: a hashed fingerprint of your browser (IP, user agent, language, salted and hashed). We never store the raw values. It exists to count downloads once and to stop abuse.
  • If you make an account: your email and your handle. No password — we email a code. Your handle prints on every plate you press.
  • If you press a design: the slogan you typed and the proofs the press returned.
  • If you post a print photo: the photo, the city and shop you told us, and your handle. Photos are public once verified.
  • If you buy something: Stripe handles the card. We keep the order, the amount, and the email Stripe gives us for the receipt. We never see card numbers.

Who else touches it

  • Image generation: your slogan is sent to OpenAI to render the proofs.
  • Proofreading: your slogan is sent to Anthropic to check for trademarks and hate speech, when that check is on.
  • Email: Resend sends sign-in codes and receipts.
  • Photos and files: Cloudinary stores print photos and generated artwork.
  • Payments: Stripe.
  • Hosting and errors: Vercel, and Sentry for crash reports (no personal data by default).

We don’t sell any of it, and we don’t run ads.

What’s public

Published plates, your handle, your bio and city if you add them, download and print counts, and verified print photos. Private plates are only visible to you. Your email is never shown.

Deleting things

Email press@cottonmouthpress.com from your account address and we’ll delete the account, its plates, and its photos within 30 days. Plates other people already downloaded stay on their shirts; that’s the point of the site.
